The Boutique Apartment

A couple with three daughters set out to transform their six-room apartment into a boutique-style home — one that truly reflects who they are.

They came to us with two distinct design languages: classical elegance on one hand, and clean, modern lines on the other. Our challenge was to weave these into a single, harmonious, and refined design language that would create a genuine sense of home.

They were looking for a space that is welcoming, curated, and comfortable — one that balances everyday functionality with high-end aesthetics. Their vision included a serene master bedroom, a practical yet stylish kitchen, and a living room that could serve as the heart of family life without sacrificing personal style.

The spatial layout was reconfigured, transforming the apartment from a standard six-room plan into a five-room layout with a greater sense of openness and flow. The master suite became a quiet retreat, featuring a custom-built vanity and a tailored storage bench.

The living room and kitchen were redesigned with bespoke cabinetry combining brass and stainless steel — a material dialogue that balances warmth with contemporary expression. Classical ceiling moldings are paired with concrete flooring, adding depth and character to the space.

Material choices and detailing were guided by a dialogue between minimalism and richness, allowing the apartment to feel both restrained and expressive. The result is a refined and harmonious boutique apartment, designed for active family life and offering an elegant, calm, and timeless living environment.
